Sorrento Beach B&B – Local Attractions

Coastal Location

Just 600m or a 7 minute walk to the safe swimming beach of Sorrento and another 8 minute stroll along the newly landscaped foreshore to Hillarys boat harbour which is Western Australia’s premier tourism precinct. Sorrento Beach B&B is at the centre of Perth’s  Sunset Coast with beautiful bays & beaches extending from Cottesloe in the south to Two Rocks in the North. Hillarys Boat Harbour is a prime family destination offering numerous attractions to keep the kids entertained, whilst parents can relax sitting in a nearby cafe or park and watch them at play.

Choose from waterslides at The Great Escape leisure centre, trampolines, minigolf, circus rides, videogames, and good old fashioned fun at the swimming beach or playground.


AQWA is Western Australia’s premier nature attraction overlooking the stunning Sunset Coast featuring Australia’s largest aquarium and underwater tunnel World’s largest collection of Western Australian marine life. Beautiful living coral reefs Giant sharks, rays and turtles Interactive fun.

Rottnest  Island

‘Rotto,’ as the locals call it, is Western Australia’s premier island getaway. With its views of the Swan River and Perth city, beautiful parkland vistas, world-class facilities, water features and natural bushland, Kings Park and Botanic Garden is an ideal venue for concerts, weddings and picnics. River cruises

Relax on a cruise with Captain Cook Cruises on the beautiful Swan River to either Fremantle or the Swan Valley. There are many options to choose from including half day, all day, lunch cruises, dinner cruises or wine cruises.


Fremantle is a vibrant tourist city situated  at the mouth of the Swan River 20 kilmetres downstream from Perth. Home to some of the most beautiful heritage buildings, great beaches, delicious seafood and talented artists and designers, Fremantle offers seven day shopping and a fantastic array of food, fun and entertainment for all ages. When you visit Fremantle, be sure to see the spectacular WA Maritime Museum, Fremantle Prison, Fremantle fishing Boat Harbour, Cappuccino Strip and browse through the historic Fremantle Markets, then relax and watch the sunset on South beach.

Shopping Centres

Sorrento Beach Bed & Breakfast is just a 10 minutes drive of two major shopping complexes:  Karrinyup Shopping Centre 10 minutes drive south and Whitfords Shopping centre 7 minutes drive north. For all you shopaholics these complexes have everything, including boutique shops, food courts and major stores.

Swan Valley

The Swan Valley, just 20 minutes east of Perth makes for a great day trip or weekend getaway.

This relaxed region is where you’ll find  many award winning vineyards and boutique breweries,  meandering waterways and lush natural bushland. There is also a host of excellent restaurants. If you do not wish to drive, then there are a number of conducted tours to choose from.

The Maze

Golf courses

Country Hamersley Golf course is an 8 minute drive south and Joondalup Club is a 15 min drive north.

The Pinnacles

This extraordinary ancient rock formation that make up the Pinnacles is located about a three-hour drive north of Perth near the coastal town of Cervantes. You can drive or choose from several tour options. See the area surrounding the Pinnacles Desert come alive with wildflowers from August to October.
